I am a Black Colorado native, public artist, photographer, videographer, producer and musician. Growing up here has made me appreciate nature and draw inspiration from the beauty that surrounds us, transposing those experiences into art and music. I strongly believe art and music have the ability to heal as well as inspire, so I try to create experiences that do both. My mission as a creative is to inspire others to create, especially the ones who think they can’t.

This piece reflects how it felt to grow up in the only African American family in an upper-class white neighborhood. These experiences have shaped me into the person I’ve become today. Being able to express this through art in these turbulent times is a blessing. I’m honored to be a part of such a great community and having the opportunity to inspire young Black, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, and other people of color to create beauty in an oppressive world.
